A few words about Author

Shyam Babu is an Indian psychological thriller author and the creator of the suspense novel Lucid Lies. Born in the 'Manchester of South India,' he started his career as a software developer. Lucid Lies — A Psychological Suspense Novel

After the pandemic, Shruti moves to Bangalore with her childhood friend, hoping to start a fresh chapter in her life. But, soon something strange begins to happen. Almost every night, she experiences severe and disturbing dreams. In those dreams she finds herself inside vivid and terrifying situations that seem all too real. One name keeps appearing in her dreams—a name no one has ever called her in real life.

One day, a stranger calls her by that name.

Shruti begins to see glimpses of a life she has never lived and a family she has never known. She begins to question everything. Are these memories from a forgotten past? Someone else's story slipping into her mind? Or is her mind creating something that feels real?

Lucid Lies explores the fine line between memory and identity. When your inner self recalls things your life never did, can the memories still be yours?

What I’m Writing Now

Two thrillers are in progress. One leans into horror. The other into revenge. Both center on misdirection, buried motives, and layered twists. If you’ve read Lucid Lies, you’ll notice the clues—the pieces that make sense only after the ending. I build stories that reward attention and build tension slowly, with purpose.
